Acting as Owner’s Representative to implement energy-saving improvements through Energy Performance Contracts.

  • Evaluating exiting energy baseline and owner capital master plans to ensure alignment of any and all potential energy efficiency and power generation investments with long-term capital and financial performance goals

  • The complete development and preparation of Owner’s RFP for maximum benefit to Owners. 

    • RFP documentation development

    • Consultation and integration of financial goals working with Owner’s Bond Counsel, Fiscal Advisors and Legal Counsel

    • Structure RFP model and Performance metrics. This includes RFP model (NPV, Simple Payback or ROI models)

    • Measurement & Verification (M&V) Electing the most customer centric M&V model to ensure long-term financial performance of client investments and limit savings erosion applicable Performance Guarantee metrics. 

    • Owners Representation throughout the project’s inception, development, bidding, design and contracting phase, State Review and Permit approvals. Direct Owner’s representation working with Owner’s Architect/Engineer (AE), Bond Counsel, Fiscal Advisor, Legal Counsel and other applicable parties including Construction Managers and selected Energy Services Company (ESCO). 

    • Leading all Owner’s meetings and internal review and evaluation of potential proposals and services. This includes meetings with Owner’s Administrative Team, Board of Education (BOE), Facilities Committee (if applicable). 

Energy Management Consulting:

Tailored strategies and support to unlock funding opportunities for energy efficiency and sustainability projects including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) Renewable Energy Long Term Lease Agreements (RELA), Guaranteed Energy Savings Agreements (GESA) to hedge future energy costs and achieve a balanced long-term position regarding power generation and grid resiliency.

Commercial & Industrial Optimization:

Services specific to improving NOI and asset valuation simultaneously through customized energy & power factor investments. Converting Cap-Ex to investments with Integrated Design Build Contracting models that insure financial and operational performance excellence. Most applicable to commercial multi-use facilities, industrial and manufacturing operations, processing facilities and high energy intensity intermittent operations such as greenhouses and spas.  

Flat-Fee Structure:

To ensure the most customer-centric relationship and outcome, we at Valiant use a flat fee structure. Regardless of project size, the client is charged for the services rendered on a fixed pricing basis and not as a percentage of construction cost. This ensures that the partnership with Valiant is free of any financial or performance motivations that may otherwise deprive the client from improvements in capital and energy efficiency that are in their best interest.
